Text4baby is a free text messaging service that provides weekly tips and helpful information for expectant and new moms. Launched by the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB) in 2010, Text4baby covers a variety of topics critical to maternal and child health, including birth defects prevention, immunization, nutrition, seasonal flu, mental health, oral health and safe sleep.
To sign up for the Text4baby service, simply text the word BABY to 511411 (or BEBE for Spanish). You’ll be asked to provide your baby’s due date or birthday and zip code. Once registered, you will start receiving messages tailored to your baby’s age.
